Brooklyn Park is the fourth largest city in the Metropolitan area and the sixth largest in the state covering a total area of 17,020 acres—27 square miles. It is located on the west bank of the Mississippi River, in the northwest section of Hennepin County. It is bounded on the south by Brooklyn Center, Crystal and New Hope, Champlin on the north, and Maple Grove and Osseo on the west.
